I must admit, I was a little worried when I first received this carseat. The material seemed scratchy and it was a major pain in the butt getting the base installed in my car. After the inital aggravation; however, I am very happy with this carseat. Its cute, functional, and serves its purpose. I really like the handle and the design!

This is a very safe car seat. Thankfully I haven’t been in any car accidents to prove it though. I bought this seat for my third child. (I’ve bought evenflo seats for all of my chilren at some point now that I think of it) It’s a very simple seat there isn’t much I can say about it. I didn’t want to buy a car seat that was too flashy or fancy. I’m just happy knowing my baby is safe, happy, and cozy riding in it.
I do wish it was a bit lighter but all these kind of seats seem to be like that. I like that the handle has a crook, it makes holding it a bit easier for me. I like that I can attach a toy to the handle for my baby to look at too.
I have trusted tons of Evenflo product with all of my children when they were babies and my oldest is 9 years old now. I guess I could say Evenflo products have been a choice of mine for almost 10 years now. They are a trusted company.

We liked it but our 8 month old is now in a bigger seat, a Britax rear facing seat not a carrier, shes almost 20 lbs and this thing was getting way to heavy to carry with her in it. But it was great while we used it.

This is the best car seat for safety and price! Plus, the Rittenhouse design is beautiful! Use this carseat with the Graco or Baby Trend Snap N Go and you have a perfect way to stroll baby around. I also have the Quattro Tour Deluxe stroller in the same design for longer strolls with rougher terrain.
The carseat is heavier, but it accomadates your baby longer.
***If you don’t want to lug a heavy seat and baby, then skip it all together and get a covertible carseat that stays in the car and then you will not be lugging it all around. The bonus you will miss out on by having a covertible carseat is waking a sleeping baby when you must remove them from the car seat. Get the safeseat and you will love it—and the baby will not wake up when you remove the seat with baby from the car. Peaceful sleep is priceless.

I purchased this car seat last year with our first child, after doing lots and lots and lots of homework/research on all the options. I picked it b/c of the increased weight/height limits, and the side impact protection. I had too many friends that had to purchase another car seat before the one year limit, b/c their baby was too big for their car seat. I love that I don’t have to worry about this fact.

I’m even more pleased with this car seat now that the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) has now put out a new statement on car seat safety. They are now recommending leaving children rear facing until they are two years old. They say that neck muscles are still not strong enough to withstand a car accident in front facing one year olds. So…while this doesn’t sit well with lots of parents, my friends and sister’s included, I’m going to follow this recommendation for as long as my son will fit in this car seat…which will be well beyond his first birthday.

It will be a lot easier to follow this new recommendation with this car seat. My son is 11 months and only 22 lbs and 27″ long…he’s a little bit short for his age. But, this means I don’t have to purchase a new car seat for quite awhile. I love this fact!
Yes, the car seat is a little bit heavier than the other options, but it also accommodates 30lb children. Yes, my child has a bit of a problem seeing out the sides, but that is b/c of the side impact foam that the other options don’t have. So, I’m willing to sacrifice a little comfort on my part to make sure my baby is safe. He doesn’t know any different about seeing out so he’s adjusted.
I’ve been VERY happy with this purchase, and would purchase this car seat again.

This is a very good car-seat. It is soft and seems confortable for the baby.
I just wanted to add that the color is more kaki than white, I was expecting some much lighter hue.
The size is good, and a word to those deciding what to buy:
. This car seat does not have the side impact protection. That is the only con.
. The bigger the car seat the longer you will be able to use it BUT, the heavier and bulkier it will be. With the new bigger carseats you are talking about carrying 50 pounds to get your baby out of the car with the seat (25 for the seat, about 25 -or even more- with the baby). So that is something to consider before buying.

Before my daughter was born I did a lot of research before deciding on a car seat. This one really appealed to me based on other reviews and the top rated safety ratings. The neutral colors are great too, not too girly or boyish. When I received it as a shower gift I was immediately impressed. It is very light and the seat is so comfy feeling with lots of padding, removable head and body supports and high sides to protect my baby. The attached bunting is removable and was very nice especially with a newborn during the colder months. And the adjustable/removable cover is great in all weather; keeps the cold wind off, the sun out and the rain away. The base was easy to install in the car with the latch anchor system, and it is adjustable. We brought our baby girl home from the hospital in it and she fit perfect even though she was so tiny at 6.5lbs. The harness has removable comfort bands, the chest closure and each side of the harness attach separately into the crotch latch which is very nice and makes like so easy with a squirming infant. Even now at 7 months our baby girl fits perfectly and it is so easy to get her in and out of the car. I would also recommend the Graco stroller they make travel and just running everyday errands so easy; the car seat comes out of the car and clicks right into the stroller and off we go. Definitely recommend this car seat it is awesome!!

This is our second Graco car seat. We purchased the same model style as our first seat. This has the front adjust system. Do not buy a Graco without front adjust. Also, this seat fits our old base, so now we have two bases, one for each vehicle. We purchased a stroller and seat combo on our first purchase. Good durability, we were using our first stroller and seat for our second child. We could not find the same fabric style on our new seat. This seat was the closest color match we could find. We were very happy with the first car seat we had but our cat destroyed it one evening.

We had a Graco seat for my daughter when she was an infant 5 1/2 years ago. This time around with my son we initially purchased an Evenflo Serenade 35 and were not happy with it so we searched around and found this carseat at Goore’s. I saw it and tested it out in person and found that it was indeed much heavier than most other infant carseats–one of the drawbacks I’ve found, but I will say that over the 5 months we’ve had it I have gotten a workout lugging it around. A few more complaints–it is sometimes difficult to lift out of the car because of it’s weight (and with a 20-lb baby in it it’s hefty), so with that said it is being left in the car more often than not for a few weeks now. Also, I like the side-impact “wings” for the safety aspect but I do think they block some of my son’s vision which sometimes frustrates him, even at 6 1/2 months old. I gladly put up with these minor inconveniences to have a safe carseat that is very easy to adjust and seems to be comfortable as well.

My son loves his car seat and so do I. Yes, it is a little bit heavier than the Graco I had with my daughter (now 6) but this seat is so much safer. My son does not have any trouble sitting in the seat, is not uncomfortable in it, and if the seat is installed properly there should not be a problem with tipping forward. It is easy to get in and out of the car and on and off the base. We have a base in each car and that makes everything easier. I also have the Aria stroller (both in the green bubbles) and I get tons of compliments. It can be tricky getting the car seat to click on the stroller but we’re getting used to it. The “horse blinders” do not bother my son who is now 3 months old and I can see how they would keep his head safer in an accident. I am glad the seat goes up to 30 pounds as it should last us the year. I was nervous getting the car seat after reading all of the negative reviews on here but I have been very happy with it.

I bought this carseat a few months ago for my 3rd baby, and my husband and I like it better than the Graco Snugride that we bought 6+ years ago for our first child. The Chicco carseat base is so easy to install, adjust, and remove from the vehicle that we don’t feel the need to buy a second base for my husband’s truck. It’s also very easy to adjust the tightness of the straps on the baby, which makes it easier to get her in and out and for adjusting based on how thick her clothing is. The colors on this style are very neutral and will work for a boy or a girl and in any vehicle, although the fabric not very soft.

On the negative side, it seems like the straps don’t fit our baby just right (they seems too short up-and-down when I tighten it enough on her chest), but I’m hoping that it will work better as she grows a little more (she’s only 2 months old and about 12 lbs. right now). Our baby hates being in the carseat and won’t sleep in it most of the time, but I’m not sure if that’s because of it being uncomfortable or if she just doesn’t like carseats. We removed the infant support insert a couple of days ago, and she seems to like it a little more now.

We really love this car seat and it seems our baby does too. The extra infant padding needs to be taken out for the baby to stay comfortable…probably when the baby is around 10 lbs or a little before then. Otherwise you will get a fussy uncomfortable baby who doesn’t appear to fit very well in the seat. Make sure you adjust the straps too as the baby grows and everything will fit great for the baby.

We’ve had our baby sleep in it during the night too on occasion…going 6+ hour stretches sleeping in this seat. Definitely is a great seat!

I’ve been using this car seat for about one month. The canopy is really junky and useless. It often falls behind the back of the car seat. It seems like it should have a hard rib at the base of the canopy to keep this part from buckling. I find it very difficult, even after one month, to fit the car seat into its base. It has to be at an exact angle for it to fit into the base. When you finally get the right angle, it makes a very loud click sound that will startle, if not wake up, a sleeping infant. The straps are very difficult to adjust. I wish there were a way to adjust them from the front or side of the seat. You have to adjust the straps when the car seat is not in its base. You have to push in a tab at the back and pull a strap to tighten or loosen it. It’s a lot of work and it’s difficult to get the straps to budge. Other than that, my infant likes to sit in the car seat.

Infant car seats have a such short lifespan (you can only use it until the baby outgrows it, which doesn’t take very long), so I don’t know that I would have spent more money for a better car seat.

I received this car seat as a shower gift, I had put it on my registery because it was cheap and neutral colored so I can use it for all my future children. It is well worth the money for the few months that it is used until the baby grows out of it. It is lighter in weight and easy to carry (lighter than Graco car seats.) I love having the base in the car all of the time and the LATCH system safely attaches to the car seat. The car seat is easy to install and remove compared to the used Graco car seat that my sister-in-law gave me that is really hard to remove from the base, the lever sticks and is hard to pull. I had purchased the extra padding for when my daughter was a newborn to protect her head and removed it once she was getting bigger and she likes the car seat and always falls asleep in it. The only thing that bothers me is the shade always falls down and gets in the way. All of the padding and fabric easily removes to wash. My daughter is six months old and we just found out another is on the way and I searched the net for a double stroller from evenflo and found one in the 3 bears pattern that matches the car seat!!

I wanted to review my Grace 32 Snugride after I’d had it for a while and this is what I have for you after 8 months of use:
The large size: I wanted to be sure that my baby fit the car seat for a whole year, so I bought the larger car seat. It turns out that my baby is on the smaller size and would have fit just fine in a smaller seat. My friend’s 2-year old could almost fit in my huge car seat! For a big baby, it would be great. However, I had some problems because the seat was so big. First, it wasn’t particularly comfortable for him when he was less than 4 months because he slouched in it. It sits the baby more upright than many other car seats which makes it hard for them to sleep in it. (You can adjust the tilt of the seat, but it has to be adjusted a lot to get it to recline much.) And of course, it’s heavier than the smaller car seats.

Durability: I have had zero problems with durability. It has held up through so much without a hitch. Nothing has broken, and I still feel like it’s new. The cover shows no wear and is washable. I plan on using it for at least one more kid, and I’m not worried about it lasting.

Ease of use: It snaps in easily into the base, belts in easily when traveling without the base, and the handle is pretty nice. I wanted one of those nice Evenflo handles that allows to turn your hand to the side, but I learned it’s not that necessary. Car seats are too wide to hold comfortably with one hand – if you do, you jostle the baby a lot. (I mostly carry the seat when I’m trying to keep him asleep, so jostling is bad.) The Graco has a nice wide part of the handle to use when carrying with two hands-which is how I do it most of the time. It also has a rubber grip that makes it easy to grab onto anywhere on the handle. The shade is amazing. My sister with a Peg Perego was jealous of my huge shade that moves anywhere you want it. The harness is very easy to use with no jigsaw complications, and the buttons are reliable and easy to use.

Color: I got it in Bombay (red with brown, not offered on Amazon but in store at Baby’s R Us), and I get complements on it all the time. As much as I claim I wouldn’t buy a product for the color alone, I like carrying around a car seat that looks nice.

Conclusion:
I like everything about the SnugRide, except I wouldn’t have gotten the larger size 32 SnugRide.

This car seat is a nice car seat. I had twins both weighed under 6 lbs. The car seat is comfortable for their tiny bodies. The buckling system will go tight enough for them. It is a larger car seat than normal because it holds children up to 32″ long and 32 lbs. Because of the size of the car seat, it does not allow my 6′5″ husband to slide his seat all the way back in our 4 door Duramax truck. He doesn’t mind being a little squished for room because of the safety the car seat offers.

During my pregnancy, I searched for 4 months for a carseat I would be happy with. I spent hours online reading reviews and ratings, and I FINALLY decided to go with the Graco Snugride32 in Zurich. I ordered it before my son is born and now he is almost 4 months and I am so pleased with this carseat. First, the snugride32 can hold up to 32 lbs vs the traditional 20-22. My friend has a 5 month baby that is 23lbs and is already having to buy a new carseat. I know this carseat will last me a while and save me some $. Second, my baby was a preemie, so I was VERY concerned about how my itty bitty baby would hold in this large carseat. He looked so tiny in it, but he did so wonderful. His head didn’t flop, and thanks to the extremely convenient front adjustable straps, it was very easy to secure him in there. The nurses at the hospital were highly impressed with the carseat. Also, the base was easy to secure in our back seat, my husband did have to use pliers to get the straps really tight so the seat wouldn’t move around or shift, but after 4 months of use, the carseat is still snug in our backseat. Also, the carseat is so easy to latch in and get out, which my husband appreciates because he totes around our son.
Lastly, I love the print and the material. The print is a beautiful gender-neutral color that I will be able to use with my next child. And the material is thick, so the baby has cushion. I made sure it was not that awful polyester material, because I live in phoenix, and when baby’s sweat on polyester their whole bodies end up soaked. Also, its easy to clean. My baby had reflux and would spit up ALL THE TIME, and it was so simple to wipe up or put in the wash so the carseat doesn’t smell. When you wash it it looks brand new! Again, I am a very particular person, but I have found no fault in this carseat. If I had to point out the cons, I would say that it is bulkier and on the heavy side to carry around (but that’s the price you pay because it holds 32 lbs vs 20, so it lasts longer) and that my husband did have to use pliers to make it secure in the car. Highly recommended by this protective mommy!

We took our Preemie twin girls home when they were around 6 lbs. This car seat worked great for them. We added an additional head piece though that you can buy from Eddie Bauer. Now the 32’s make it so you don’t have as much room in the front seats. I had to sit my driver’s seat straight up and pull the seat forward a bit to make room for the extra length of the 32’s. It’s a much bigger car seat than the regular snugrides, but I like it better…more protection it would seem. Installation is a breeze with the latch system. The 32’s are heavier than the regular snugrides, but it’s not too bad for us, but we are strong people. If you’re little, I wouldn’t get this one.

Bought this seat when my son was 1 yr old but not heavy enough to be turned around facing front (20 lbs.). He was long and leggy so I needed something bigger than what I had (something that came with a stroller).

Used the Latch and tether until he exceeded the weight limit for latch (42 lbs. according to the manual)(now using seat belt/tether as directed). Still using this seat- my son is 7 and a half. We love the harness, it protects him better! He sits higher so he can see out. The seat cover comes off and is completely washable. During the time we’ve had this there was a recall on the strap between the legs that tightens the shoulder straps and we received it in the mail with complete and easy to follow directions to fix.

At the time this was a bit of an extravagant purchase but well worth it!! It has lasted us this long!

Everything that touches your child is removable-and washable. It’s a bit complicated getting it all back together. If you aren’t comfortable- take the cover off and put it in the shower and hose it off….straps and all. Soap and water the juice/food/yuck stains.

Really! Bought this April 2003 and still using it (one child)! It’s pristine!

As the wife of an Auburn grad, I’ve come to find that Auburn fans generally take their team spirit to the limit and my husband’s need of an Auburn car seat for our son is a true example. The car seat is the same as any Britax Marathon in style and function (Amazingly great carseat by the way.)
The Navy blue cover has the Auburn “AU” symbol with the word “Tigers” underneath, both in Auburn orange. I, personally, would have liked an Aubie face on there to add some kid appeal but overall, very nice. All my husband’s college friends have been very impressed with it.

If you’re looking for a car seat with a good quality/price ratio, this is it.
This is not the fanciest seat out there, but it is certainly one of the cheapest.
It is also just as safe as other seats. It is easy to use, and pretty light.
It is equiped with a gauge on the side that helps you position the seat at a safe angle for your baby.
There is one con though: This seat does not have a lot of padding, and the head support is too big/wide and won’t hold a baby’s head.
If you buy this seat I suggest you buy ‘Snuzzler’ from Kiddopotamus ($20). It is a crash tested, complete body & head support that will keep your baby snuggled up.

I bought this carseat for my 1st born son, but sadly he is just about to outgrow it (he’s 7 months and already exceeds the length requirement, but he’s also 95 percentile for height!), so I am now shopping for the next size up.

I initially chose it because it fits into the Bob stroller & the price was right, and b/c I liked the pattern/colors and fabric (although I originally almost didn’t buy it b/c one reviewer stated that they thought the fabric was like burlap?! which is totally not truel!). It’s been pretty easy to carry around w/ him in it (a friend talked me out f buying the 32lb version b/c it becomes back breaking to schlep around by the time the baby is 22lbs, so just imagine a 32lb kid in that seat? yikes!).

Anyway, I’d definitely recommend this product to a friend…in fact I’m passing it onto a friend b/c it’s still got 4 yrs to expiry!

When I was pregnant it never even crossed my mind that my girls could be born to small to fit into their car seats but that didn’t end up being a problem.
My girls were born 5lbs 1oz & 5lbs 13oz & had to stay in the hospital for a week(due to jaundice). Before we were able to leave we had to bring in their car seats so the hospital could do tests while my girls were in them. This is to make sure they can tolerate sitting in a car seat. Both girls passed all the tests and we were released the next day.

Both girls had lost weight after birth so my smallest was less than 5lbs when we left the hospital and the other was just over 5lbs. They looked so TINY in their seats. The girl who released us put them in their seats & tightened the seats which only took her a few minutes & they had to be adjusted quite a bit since my girls were so tiny. She put a couple of blankets around the girls bodies so they felt more secure. We got stopped by every nurse & person we passed on our way out, they put both girls in their seats on a wagon, everyone commented on the cute car seats too(we got the Betsey) The seats clicked easily into their bases.

***When my girls were less than a month old and both less than 6lbs we were stopped at a stop sign & a lady slammed right into the back of us, Hard, she didn’t slow down at all(because she spilled her pop & leaned over to pick it up) The speed limit there was 35 but I’d guess she was doing about 20. They called EMS to check out our girls just because they were so tiny. EMS told us to call our Dr who said we should take them to Childrens Hospital just to get them checked out to be safe. So that is what we did. The cop checked and said the girls were securely in their seats just the way they were supposed to be(appearantly a lot of people have car seats installed wrong)

Anyhow, both my girls ended up being just fine. We didn’t even know that once you are in a wreck, no matter how small, you can no longer use the seats. We gave the hospital ours to destroy and they gave us some new Evenflo Discoveries that Evenflo donates to give to people in our situation for free since we had no car seats to get our girls home.

The differences we noticed. The Evenflo seats were not a sturdy feeling as the Graco, the Evenflo was lighter but because they are not as sturdy & did not feel as safe. The Graco snap in and out of the bases easier. The Graco material & harness is better material, the Evenflo is cheaper & thinner. We did like the shape of the Evenflo handle better, made it easier to carry but the Graco was definately WAY better. We immediately ordered 2 more Graco Seats.

We have been very happy with our Graco Snugrides. I also will note that I am a real wimp but I could carry BOTH my girls at the same time even when they were getting ready to outgrow their seats…it wasn’t that easy but I could do it. So if you are only carrying 1 baby, it should be easy enough. Besides, it isn’t like you normally carry the car seat all over the place.

I own a 2009 Toyota Yaris and this is absolutely perfect.
I was stressing out a little bit because our son was “graduating” from his snap n’ go type carseat and I wasn’t sure I could find anything to fit in my car. He’d turned one wanted to keep him rear facing as long as we could as recommended by the AAP. This fit perfectly in my car rear facing (until my son got too tall)and forward facing. It’s cushioned very nicely, my son is very comfortable and he still sleeps very easily in it and without his head flopping all around. It’s sturdy and snug.
I purchased the Huntington color because of the price. Sure, it wasn’t my first color choice, but it’s a neutral color – and for $100 off, I was definitely willing to sacrifice color preference! It’s very nice looking though, and again, very soft. I wish my own seat had the nice fabric that his does!

I ordered the Britax Diplomat due to its safety features for my 10 month old boy. I was very pleased that it arrived so quickly. I ordered it on a Wednesday with free standard shipping, and it arrived on the Friday two days later. It is a great car seat. It is very easy to latch it in my car (a crossover), and my baby seems to be comfortable. I would recommend this seat to my friends and relatives.

I love this carseat. We have two older boys ages 10, 11 and I wish I had one of these for them. The ease of use is incredible- the straps adjust so easily- I don’t even need to take him out of the seat or unstrap him to make adjustments, which is a great feature b/c when he wears his snowsuit he is extra bulky. He used to scream in the infant carrier, but he really seems to like the Britax much better. I like the locking mechanism on the side- we have a 2000 minivan and the infant carrier used to rock back n forth and never stayed secure. The locking mechanism for the seatbelt took care of this problem completely. This is like the Mercedes Benz of carseats. Love, love, love, love, love it!
